Cymbidiums are a rarity here because of the warm climate, so seeing two elegant yellow cymbidiums at the Perdana Gardens Orchid & Bonsai Show deserves a bit of attention.
The first is was labelled as Cym Subang Tiger but a search at RHS yielded no results. It was more likely a Cym Chen’s Ruby ‘Golden Tiger’ from pictures on the internet. I can only assume it’s warm-growing and this would suit many of our gardens here to a tea.
The second, a cymbidium with pendulous maroon-lipped, clean, golden flowers was alas, unidentifiable.
Beautiful and elegant!
