A pretty dendrobium from the forests of Sabah, Borneo
Dendrobium parthenium looks typical of many Formosae dendrobiums, with long slender canes and clumped, white flowers that appear larger than what their short stems can hold up.
It’s not difficult to grow and likes fast draining media – charcoal and smashed-up bricks will do fine if the orchid is watered daily on hot days. Dendrobium parthenium is not easy to find in nurseries here, if at all in my experience. I think small plants could easily break my budget. Please alert me if otherwise, of course.
