Remember this upside-down vanda: http://pickanorchid.com/hang-vanda-upside-down/?
Well, it has turned around nicely and, to top things off, rewarded me with a nice bunch of soft-coloured blooms. This is Aeridovanda Kinnaree, a cross between two awesome favourites: Vanda denisoniana and Aerides lawrenciae.
The flowers are little pale, and the count is few. The petals are also somewhat delicate and fray easily at the edges. Perhaps it will have a stronger showing in the next bloom cycle. It’s beautiful nonetheless and carries a pleasant fragrance.
I’m glad that this plant recovered. It gives me some validation that the upside-down method works.
