Here is another interesting and beautiful intergeneric vanda, again using the robust Aerides lawrenceae as a parent. The other parent, Vandachostylis (previously Vascostylis) Pine Rivers is a popular hybrid that has graced many patios of orchid enthusiasts. This cross was registered only recently in April 2014, as Perreiraara Mu Qi Malisa Wendy.

Densely arranged flowers in gorgeous shades of pink make this hybrid a potential winner for many growers. The plant will take on conditions suitable for most strap-leaved vandas, ie. bright light (or 30%-50% shade), heavy watering once or twice a day if grown in open, fast-draining medium, and warm conditions year round.
